our offense
one really good thing that i'm starting to notice about the offense is their ability to perform under pressure. There's been a lot of "coming from behind" this year. Granted there's still been a lot of lost points and such. But it seems like they perform decently well under pressure when they have to score some quick points.

Re: our offense
We have a defense? Did they miss the buss last weekend?
Sorry, sad sense of humor A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. -

Sorry, sad sense of humor They have missed the bus since the 2nd half of the Kansas game.
The pass rush has missed the bus since last year.
Wayne Bolt has missed the bus since he was hired.... -
Re: our offense
Enough with the knocks on Bolt. I am so sick over every armchair QB thinking he knows exactly when a coordinator is not qualified for his job in only 20 games at ISU. You are in the wrong profession my friend if you are not in the college coaching ranks since you have such a great read. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that this is a new group and rebuilding we have so many underclassmen making stupid mistakes. I'm sure you just figure Bolt's defensive mindset is to sit 15 yards off the receivers and see if they can not get beat deep. As Chizik has said these guys are still lost out there and don't understand the college game. After year 4 if you want to knock Bolt and the rest of the coaches go for it, but I highly doubt you have this extreme knowledge of the game.

Re: our offense
Huge improvement in the offense last week. We threw the ball downfield, great use of the tight ends, had some trick plays (I think all of them were successful) and had Arnaud sneak on 3rd and short (also all successful). Not a great A and M defense, but I'm still encouraged by more diversity and common sense in our offense. I'd still like to see us get our backs to the hole quicker (including the fullback), especially in short yardage situations, but overall a much more diversified and enjoyable offense to watch last Saturday.

Re: our offense
Head coaches wager their jobs on assistant coaches. That's all I need to know.

One thing that you dont see much of on this board. Do you have more? On face value it does not appear that Bolt is doing his job. I know the kids are young but we keep getting beat by the same plays. If it cant be fixed by the kids we have then I guess we wait it out. The coaches are not going to tell us their game plan each week, I understand that. But I think our fan base is bright enough to understand what the are trying to do to fix it. We (I) cant find that information so we speculate, accuse, bash, you name it, and try to come up with fixes ourselves. What I am trying to say is it would be great to hear more from the coaches on what they are trying to do to fix the problems. Boy that was wordy wasnt it? Sorry guys.

It is only 20 games into a regime and we give up 30 points a game. However, the plan to sit back and wait and hope the other team makes a mistake when they throw it 20 yards to an open area is a little self defeating in the Big 12, league of the qb. Maybe the wind will divert it to our hands and will will look good aginst Okie State. Point is if we cannot bump them when the opponent first catches the ball means they wioll probbaly catch it. The pass defense just seems loose. Too bad we could not play against it.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: our offense
Hey, at least our jerseys look stellar this year.
Give the squad and the coaches some time....it will come. And, our jerseys will still continue to be sweet.
