Since he will have tough competition for the starting and back-up QB spots, I wouldn't be surprised if we use him as a QB/WR combo. Kind of like Flynn.
IMO 3 QB's is not too many.
Where McHargue fits into ISU's plan most likely depends on what happens in the QB battle between Arnaud & Tiller this spring. If Arnaud wins out, then I see Tiller staying as backup QB for the 2009 season and McHargue a redshirt QB. In the spring of 2010, I would think there would be a backup QB battle between McHargue & Tiller and whoever loses out would change positions.
If Tiller wins the job this spring, I would think Arnaud would be our backup QB and McHargue would redshirt in 2009. If Tiller wins the job, I could then see the coaching staff looking at other positions McHargue could fill. At this size & speed it would seem he could play WR or safety. Heck if he could put on 30lbs might develop into a LB.
