How to watch the game on Direct TV
On your HD DVR or HD tuner, go to Menu, setup, system setup, satellite & antenna, antenna setup, initial setup, and enter your zip code as your primary local market. The receiver will then search for your local channels which will not include 5.2. After that, go to "add secondary market", enter zip code 90210, and the receiver will then search for local channels in Los Angeles, one of which is 5.2. Go to your programming guide and 5.2 will show up as KTLA, but when you tune it in you will receive WOI.

If this is true, then I was right in assuming that it is a DTV hardware bug. My Dish VIP722 has shown 5.2 for months.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

Wow, nerdly! I will give this a shot, I never thought about adding a different local market.

I think it's because 5.2 is not in their database of local channels for central Iowa. When Directv adds locals to it's receiver it adds them from a database of locals that it thinks are available instead of scanning for what signals the antenna can receive.

Re: How to watch the game on Direct TV
I don't see "antenna setup" as an option on my HD tuner system setup menu. Any ideas?

Re: How to watch the game on Direct TV
My set up doesn't ask or have an option for a secondary market. What Iam I doing wrong?

Re: How to watch the game on Direct TV
And you have an OTA antenna connected?
Mine is a HR20-700S. The setup might be a bit different between the HD and HD-DVRs?

Re: How to watch the game on Direct TV
Monty's directions were right on for my receiver.
After doing the initial setup under 50325, it prompted me for a secondary market.
