No Freakouts----YAY!!!
I was glad to be away from CF for the weekend and come back on Sunday night to see that nobody was freaking out about the loss to Okie State. I usually get a kick out of the post game threads where the sky is falling, the earth is ending, etc. Look at the depth chart and compare it to the rest of the Big 12, ISU is the youngest team in the conference and it isn't even close. Getting beat and getting beat handily as a true freshman makes you want to work that much harder to get on top. If we go 2-10 this year, it may be the best thing that ever happenned. Hell, Ellis Hobbs was 2-10 his freshman year and he makes more than all of us combined right now.
But what if the Guarantee Fairy’s a crazy glue sniffer? Next thing you know there’s change missing from your dresser and your daughter’s knocked up. I’ve seen it a hundred times

Re: No Freakouts----YAY!!!
It set up to be close at first. We were down by 7 with the ball, creating turnovers. Of course after not capitalizing, the game got out of hand quickly. Most of us were happy with Leonard Johnson though!
Nice Tommy Boy reference.

Re: No Freakouts----YAY!!!
There may not be any freak out threads... but look at whats in it's place - a thread discussing wether or not Mustard is the best condiment, a thread about a store that went down the ****er years ago, etc
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

Re: No Freakouts----YAY!!!
The season was done a few weeks ago as far as many fans were concerned - what did ya expect?
The only hope now is to finish the thing out with some semblance of pride and perhaps find a way to get a win.

for me it's resignation ... feels a lot like the early Mac years when tailgating was what you really got pumped for and watching the football was something to do to kill time so you didn't pass out early.
Although in true cyclone fan form I have this inexplicable optimism for basketball

Re: No Freakouts----YAY!!!
Will the team pull out W's against Colorado and KSU like last year to end the year on a high note?

I found my way over here on Sunday to join the post game meltdown and found absolutely nothing. I agree with the others here that this seems to be proof of apathy setting in. I find it greatly concerning that we got waxed by like 40 points and there is hardly a word on this board.... and the people here would most likely be among the most hardcore ISU fans around. It makes me wonder just what the mood is among the average fans.... and it also really concerns me as far as ticket sales for next season

How about a CyBookie on if we get another win this season and odds on which game(s) we win?

I'll be there. This is the time when the fans need to buck up and stay with the team. People are quick to forget the team doesn't like losing either.
