I think one of my fav's is Illibuck, I mean seriously, in the beginning they played for an ACTUAL turtle!!!
The Telephone trophy is one of the best ones I think hardly anyone outside the big 12 knows about. Weird story with the lines getting crossed and being able to hear our opponent's playcalls - just imagine if that were to happen in today's day and age/technology

The only thing I don't like about the Telephone Trophy is that nobody knows about it, and not just outside of the Big 12. I know of ISU fans who only vaguely have heard of it and don't even know that it is between ISU/Missouri. I am guessing the majority of Big 12 fans not from our two schools have never heard of the thing.
We could call the ISU/KSU game the Ethanol Cup (I like it) and play for an actual barrel of ethanol in KC....maybe later replaced by a trophy. And nothing says it has to be limited to football, there could be a travelling trophy for every sport with an annual Ethanol Cup Champion.

Although the Big12 seems to think there is a bit of rivalry because they have scheduled this game as both teams' second to last game through the 2015 season. Mizzou's last game is with KU, which is their biggest rival, but to me, placing our game after the K-State game and before the KU game seems like there is some rivalry statement there. Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it). -

Call it the Cereal Bowl and get Chex as the presenting sponsor. -

Ah yes...every inner-city kid would be racing to Ames to be a part of the event! -
Re: Should we have another rivalry game?
I think one with Kansas would be cool. We always compete in basketball and football is close most of the time minus the last couple years

Re: Should we have another rivalry game?
A rivalry against KSU wouldn't be bad since they are the only time in the Big 12 that ISU has a winning record against.

Re: Should we have another rivalry game?
KSU seems more like a rival to me than Kansas would... we could maybe even play off of the Land Grant history (We were the first school to accept the terms of the Morril act - they were the first to open under it I believe)
However starting a rivalry for the sake of having one seems rather artificial and stupid. I'm all for having an in-conference rival, but drawing a team out of the hat and saying "Hey, lets be rivals" just doesn't do it for me
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

Not only were they mentioned in the pregame speech, keeping all trophies at ISU was a goal determined in 2 a days.
