    Still on the ESPN Waiting List? Are you joking?

    We moved up to the top of the waiting list but we're STILL not in the bottom 10??? I'm not sure we're going to make the list this year. There is not much more we can do to earn our way in.

    ESPN - The Bottom 10 hits the wild, wild West - College Football
    Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

    My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    Well, 9 of those 10 teams have a worse record than us.

    The 1 team that has the same, ASU, plays in a much crappier conference than the Big XII

    What is really funny, is that over the past three years Iowa has been in the bottom 10 more times then Iowa State.

    Lose this weekend, and we're a shoo-in. Lose badly and we will be #1 errr...10, depending on how you look at it.

    Get that elusive road win, however, and I think we should be safe from the bottom 10 for the rest of the season.
