Responding to Iowa fan's comments on the DM Reg

That guy is the same guy that will go nuts and call for Ferentz & O'Keefe's heads if they lose to Purdue this weekend. Last years loss to Central Michigan is fresh in the minds of Iowa fans as a handful of them have already mentioned it today at work hoping this coming weekend isnt like the CMU game last year.

Yes, everyone was cheering for Iowa to beat Penn State on Saturday (even the BCS). As a loyal Cyclone fan I was pulling for the Hawks as well & this was a good game to mark on their win list this year.

However, as Ben Bruns mentioned on the radio on Saturday, Iowa beat the #65 team in the country based on Sagrian ratings (which is based on strength of schedule).

One of these days the Cyclones under Coach Chizik are going to be able to pull some upsets like this as well in the years to come. We need to be patient & let the coaching staff build & bring in the quality players we need to move this program to the next level.

The comments in the DM Reg. by this so-called Hawk fan about the Cyclones is absurd. Keep drinking the Kool-aid Hawk fan.

We did 3 years ago when we beat the # 8 team.

Wow what an idiot! Why would any real hawk fan talk like that? I mean come on, no need to kick ISU when their down. I personally root for the cyclones week in and week out! I want our state to have the type of reputation as Oklahoma has every year!

I apologize on behalf of hawk fans everywhere, that guy is not a true hawk fan and probably someone who got too boozy and started to run their mouth!

I know gene is a great coach and ISU will be back in competition for the Big 12 north! Trust me it took us hawk fans 3yrs till KF got us a winning season! Gene will lead ISU to the promise land!

The national press took the Iowa-Penn St game this way: I guess Penn St isn't as good as we thought they were. That says it all. Stil a good win for Iowa, but that guy went overboard.

Congratulations to the Hawkeyes. The Penn State game was the first time in ages i have cheered for them. Now a Big 12 school will face an SEC school rather than having the annual SEC Big Ten Beatdown that we've all come to hate every January. Gloating about it is fine hawk fans...just leave us out of it please.

I've got to stick up for you here DJK. I don't understand why we still try to compare ourselves to Iowa at this point. They beat us, they had a big win this weekend. To think, by any stretch of the imagination that Iowa wouldn't beat us by more at this point of the season is really drinking some Kool-Aid. I watched the game on Saturday, I'm sorry, but the Hawkeyes are playing better football than us right now. I don't know if they are putting up the Offensive numbers we have lately, but, they are putting together complete games, stopping teams when they need to and getting a W at the end of the day. No matter who they are beating, if they are winning, they are better than us, get over it. There is alway next year.

Every fan base has those fans, Iowa just has more for some reason.

Here is my Iowa fan story from the weekend. I know some people that are all about Iowa. They have an Iowa flag flying, Iowa doormats, Iowa stickers in their windows, Iowa coats and hats, their kids are always dressed in Iowa clothes. Sunday morning I ran into them and told them Iowa had a nice win yesterday. He said oh they won, did they play anyone good? My response was I guess, didnt you watch the game? He said no I dont watch the games on TV. I knew they had never been to a game and couldnt find Kinick if you drove them by it, so I asked oh you listen to the games them, he said no not really.
