My dad called me on the phone last night and told me some iowa state football coaches came in to his work last night. Some coaches were saying that two four stars have committed anyone know anything about that? Sorry this should be in the football forum

Hmm...if this is something that should have been confidential, I would have phrased it as "I have sources that say XXXX". I wouldn't have called out the staff member. But, I'm not sure how sensitive this info is.
Hopefully it's Reynolds and Carpenter. Those two would be instant upgrades on the offense (assuming Reynolds played WR), which has been playing pretty well lately, imo.

I have a tough time imagining Coaches Bolt, McFarland and Chizik sitting around a conference room in the Jake chatting about star ratings on potential recruits.

The 2002 class had 5 or 6 4-star players. I know two of those were Flynn and Hicks. The others I can't remember, which probably says something about their rating and contributions on the field.
