Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
I'm astounded that there hasn't been any comment on Alexander Robinson putting up a hundred yard game--101 yards, despite taking a loss on that last play.
He's been improving as the season went along, as has the line, and played tough against a seasoned CU front seven. Doggone, did he work hard. And it wasn't "three yards and a cloud of dust", either.
For that matter, a much maligned offense managed over four hundred yards of total offense, on the road, and hardly anyone seemed t notice that fact, either.
This team continues to make progress. Who knows, Missouri might be in for a surprise.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
I also have noticed the progress our offensive unit is making. We need to just get better at finishing drives for TD's.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
A-Rob tore up Mizzou last year, he should have a lot of touches if the weather is bad on Saturday.
Droppin' 3's like my name is Scotty C.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
He has a burst like no back ISU has ever featured in my time. I was thinking he would be the 3rd down back next season with JS or BW taking over as the starter, but now I see him as our feature back.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
He's one of the better RBs in the Big 12 IMO. That's not saying much since this conference doesn't have many great runners anymore but he's a solid back. Bo Williams will have his hands full taking carries away from A-Rob next year.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
If A-Rob is given a hole, he will rip through. He has also been doing a GREAT job of picking up extra yards after contact and bouncing off a ton of tackles. Im happy to see this.

If we're talking next year, I'm thinking that it will help a great deal when Scott Haughton has a year of S&C, and he and the other guys have that additional year of coaching under their belt. And Mike Knapp is back.
James Carpenter seems a must, but these guys should be clearing some much bigger holes for the running backs. -
Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
He has definitely been picking it up the last few weeks, which is nice to see. My heart goes out to him for getting left alone against three or four Colorado defenders on the last play. The way he shrugged to the turf afterwards was quite telling. I sure wanted him to get that last TD...which would have been 3 on the day.
It would be nice to see A-Rob pick up where he left off against Missouri last year. 140+ plus yards and a couple TDs would go a long way to burning the clock and keeping Chase "I eat boogers" Daniel on the bench.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
The defense improved from 450 yards average down to 422 yards for the game.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
I'm hoping that we don't move a lot of guys around on the line next year. We had a good running game at the end of last year, but it seemed like everyone of the returning players switched positions to start this year and our running game struggled.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle--A Rob
A-Rob has looked great the past 2 week. He's been breaking tackles too.

Not sure exactly how we will line up, but we will have a good core group in:
Lamaak
Stephens
KO
Hicks
Haughton
Knapp
Baysinger

I don't think I'd have a problem ranking him in the top five or six. He hasn't had the line (or, when Austen was hurt, quarterback play) of the other backs.
