Never a big fan of juco recruits, but I know alot of people liked James Carpenter....it looks like Alabama offered and has taken the lead.
It looks like alabama already has 5 verbals at OL, plus they graduate 2. Obviously if he is that good he will play for 2 years at a top program. But I think the chance of getting beat out at Alabama is alot greater then here at ISU.
What does he do?
Alabama has five verbals on the OL--and at least two gaudy recruits from the previous class. I don't know why they're offering him, except as insurance.
Either way if they think he is worthy of an offer he must be pretty solid. Good job of Chizik finding him in the first place.
As a JUCO he wants to play. We can offer that. I think we still have a shot.
