I think that ISU being a perennial suck-house has more to do with the poor records than changing helmets/uniforms.

The correlation is weak. Because we are so bad so often, you could correlate nearly anything happening and us being bad.

How about a correlation when we are good 100% of the time?

Tornadoes in Ames = win. (See ISU vs CU 2005)

The only other one I could find was when we score more points than the other team...but in our case...I'm sure we've managed to lose a game like that.

I am going out on a limb here, but MAYBE, just maybe the reason we have bad records after helmet changes is because usually a new coaching staff has arrived when the change takes place and we are rebuilding.

The ones during McCarney's tenure, well, that was McCarney's tenure.
