Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards
This isn't really a surprise, but when OU is on offense, and in the I formation, this could happen:
All-Big XII QB hands off to All-Big XII RB who has an All Big XII FB, All Big XII TE, and 3 All-Big XII lineman blocking for him!!!

The problem with AA is that the QB position is so stacked in the Big 12 that you could exclude Bradford, McCoy, Harrell, and Daniel, name a whole new 1st team, 2nd team, and two honorable mention QBs, and Arnaud still probably wouldn't make the team.
Robinson, Reesing, Freeman, and Ganz all had better seasons than Arnaud.
It is likely that any of these players would have made at least honorable mention in any other conference in the country, so it's nothing to hang their heads about. The Big 12 just had what will probably be looked back upon as one of, if not the greatest QB conferences of all time.

I do like how LJ made HM as both a DB and a KR/PR.

What I can't figure out is how RJ didn't get honorable mention. Saunders from Mizzou got honorable mention but he had fewer yards and fewer touchdowns. The only thing Saunders had more of was wins.

Given how the units played this year, how can this possibly be? Was the defense closer to Big 12 caliber than the offense was? The Big 12 was top heavy on O and ISU was not the only D to struggle this year. I don't think our D is any worse than our O. There are 6 or 7 offenses in the Big 12 that are among the top in the NATION. That can't be said about the defense.

Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards
I think there may be 8 future Pro-QB's from the conference this year. Harrell, Bradford, McCoy, Reesing, Daniel, Arnaud, Freeman, and Robinson. Wow, talk about talent.
I think Reesing may just surprise people and be a real steal at the next level. Seems like a smart kid, doesn't get rattled, continues to improve. Reminds me of Flacco at the Ravens. I hope the Vikes get him in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think the guy has a bright future, and I can't stand the Jayhawks.

He's smart enough to realize that he's a long shot, and from all indications, he'll probably be pretty successful without football in the business world. Talking football now, probably more than half of his completions come when he's rolling out or dancing in the pocket, he rarely goes under center, and he won't have any of the measurables that NFL scouts look for. He's a winner with "intangibles", but he doesn't have the body and arm strength the pros are looking for. Flacco is 6'6". Reesing is 5'10". The only way he sees over KU's line is because they roll him out or he dances around. That's not going to happen with the NFL's pocket-style football with 6'8 Offensive linemen.

Harrell and Daniel are seniors and the other 4 are either not as good or no better than Arnaud. For McCoy and Bradford I would tell AA to start packing.

I agree except I'm not sure he is even 5'10". He looks a lot shorter than Daniel who is also a very long shot for the NFL. Both could go to Canada or Arena League though.

I may have to re-think about Reesing then.

Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards
Zac Robinson of Oklahoma State is the 4th rated passer in the country, and didn't even make honorable mention in his own conference. I doubt there's ever been a conference with better QBs than the Big 12 this year.
