You guys honestly think that ND can't afford the buyout? If anyone could throw 10-20 mil at a coach to go away, it's ND. 3 BCS games in the last 8 years, all the TV $$$ from NBC - that doesn't even touch what boosters would cough up.

Dan Patrick said today NBC had to return money to advertisers due to lack of viewership. He also said the buyout was no big deal, ND is getting embarssed and that is not going over well.

Cowherd was talking the other day that someone wrote in the Chicago Tribune that Urban Meyer was interested.

What followed was freaking hilarious, and I totally agree. I think coaching at Notre Dame has to be one of the least desirable jobs in college football. It's the epitome of a job where you have insanely unrealistic expectations, and nothing really spectacular in terms of recruiting.

Notre Dame hasn't been relevant in the lifetimes of any kid you're recruiting at the moment. It's in South Bend, IN. And it's not exactly a place you can coast through school.

Notre Dame is rapidly heading down the road of the Ivy League schools...
