I would love to hire someone from a mid-major that has had great success with far less talent. You seem like, what...10? Maybe 12? Why not apply...

First thing I thought of. ....."I wish I was like 6-foot 9 so I could get with Leoshi, 'cause she don't know me, but yo she's really fine".......
-Hah....Yes, I'm embarrassed to still know that song but it was one of the 1st CD's I ever bought (which I'm also embarrassed about), but regardless, it'll be engraved in my mind until I die. Oh, good times......

Re: I want a young coordinator!!!
I'm really hoping Chizik takes over a lot more responsibility on the Defensive end. If he wants to hire a young guy to follow his lead, great.
Our offense, needs someone proven, imo. We weren't terrible last year and in fact, our offense was actually good at times. So, we need someone we know who will do better. We can't keep hoping, we need to get things going soon.

Re: I want a young coordinator!!!
Just something to keep in mind, at any level of football there are the USCs of the world and the Iowa States. Just for an example if the Appalachian State offense is doing really well then sure they might have a great OC but they also usually have a big talent advantage over some of the other 1AA teams. This is the case at any level (high school, small college, 1AA, non-BCS, and BCS conference schools). Holding all things equal I think coaches that make it to big time programs will be better because those schools generally can pick anyone they want so naturally they pick the best coaches they can. That does not mean there aren't great coaches at smaller schools, they are just at a lower percentage. Also, as far as age goes, experience is not something to be dismissed.

I want a hot girlfriend.
Wish in one hand, and crap in the other. See which one fills up first.

I would love to hire someone from a mid-major that has had great success with far less talent. So, someone from Ball State, Boise State or Utah? do you consider them "midmajors"?
If I wanted someone "young", I think I'd look at, say, the quarterback coach at the likes of OU, OSU, UT, Tech, or even Missouri. USC is probably a reach, but I wouldn't look at a true midmajor.
Then there's the issue of established recruiting credentials as well.
