IMO, Chiz is gone
But it is time for Jamie to can Chizik. It is pretty obvious he is going to bolt the minute he can piece together a bowl eligible season. I simply can't fathom what possible positive momentum keeping Chizik is going to build. If he wants out that bad, let him go.
IMO, Gene Chizik = Steve Alford

Maybe so, but I can't put a scenario together in my mind now that results in a positive for ISU. Provide me one, and I'll reverse my stance.

Can we fire Chizik now? If so, who do we go after?
If my employees look for a job elsewhere when I need them the most let alone their direct reports, I would fire them without much thinking. Why shouldn't I?
I wonder who we go after. How about the head coach at UNI? Why not a coach from right here in Iowa?

Re: I am going to get torn apart for this
I like Chizik but he's not the straight shooter he claimed to be. First the rumors about him not feeling he could get it done here and now this. He's kinda phony IMO. I still like the guy and hope he's our coach but my respect for him has dropped a bit.

Re: I am going to get torn apart for this
I don't blame you for wanting to see him go. If he's still here next year it will be tough because its all about how your fans perceive you. Next years 6 wins wouldn't look so good knowing that the guy isn't going to be here the year after that to put us at 8 wins.

Dan McCarney
Seriously, nobody will want this job.

Mark Farley would be a disastrous choice.

Mark Farley may be the ticket after all. We already took their bball coach.
I am sure he can beat 5-19.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

It seems like we just went through this doesn't it?
