Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I suppose if the cyclones were good all the time, my life would be too perfect

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I'll be a CYCLONE till I die, and if i die by the time i'm 30 because of all the ups and downs, so be it.

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I grew up in Southern California and moved to Iowa to go to ISU...hard not to be a die hard cyclone fan after being there 4 years, and tonight really sucks, but I think this is kinda the fun in being a Cyclone fan...never know what's gonna happen next

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
It means more when the Cyclones are good this way. After all the crazy **** that has happened to us we deserve some good times, just have faith they'll be here.

( I was born one, and I'll die one. Two other people in my class of 40 were Cyclones.

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
At least we will always have Hilton Magic, Jack Trice Tailgaiting, and other great cyclone traditions that no matter how bad our teams are won't go away.

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I wasn't born a cyclone but became a fan while I was an ISU student. I'm actually an alumni of both Iowa State and Oregon State but follow Cyclone sports far more than I do the Beavers.
I really wonder at times why I devote so much attention to ISU when the Beavers have accomplished so much more.

You should have been at Drake Stadium last May when a cyclone won the NCAA 10k and nearly lapped the entire field. The whole state was cheering for the clone.

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I was not born a Cyclone fan, I was born a Hawkeye fan. Actually, I wasn't really a sports fan growing up, so that had no bearing on my choice of school. I wanted an engineering school, so I went to ISU (I'm not even going to mention another out-of-state school I looked into). Fortunately in '98-'02, we were relatively good in football and basketball, so it was easy to become a fan. I also helped convert my family. Don't accuse me of being a bandwagon fan though, I would rather eat **** than be a hawk or h*****. I am a Cyclone for life, no matter how much days like today suck.

Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
Nope. Not at all. I wouldn't trade my team for any other. Now, off to the cave with me -
Re: Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone
I'm so sick that I'd probably suck it up and donate more if JP sent the form-email-requst right now... I will always be a Cyclone! That or dead, which ever comes first!
Now it's been a few days since I've had that "kicked in the crotch" feeling, was beginning to almost miss it...
