K-State brought back Snyder. Would bringing back Dan be such a bad idea? Assuming he'd want to come back. I don't know. I'm just in a little shock right now.

Seems a little early to speculate. Probably not as good of a hire as Chizik . . . up and comers will see Chizik's 5-19 record and think that it just can't be done at ISU.

Tommy Bowden? More than likely a retread...heck, I'd take mac back if he brought Loney with him and a couple of florida defense recruits!

My guess is Chiz just gets an extension on his contract at ISU to help recruiting.

Who's the head coach at Ames High, maybe we promote him?

Yeah, funny, it's BRIAN KELLY, the coach who's ripped on by many posters here, who has actually turned down overtures to stay at Cincy. And it's our GENE CHIZIK who wants out...
