I think Mack Brown was an assistant here back in the day - maybe he's ready to come back

From the AU site, many really wanted Gill and feel like GC was bad, bad, bad for them.
For me, it's Gill or Loney. I think I'll become a Gill fan for now....From the UB site.
In just two seasons, head coach Turner Gill has lifted the Buffalo football program to historic heights and has gained national attention for the Bulls’ youthful program – less than a decade into major college football.
During the 2007 season, Gill earned Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year honors after leading the Bulls to five wins - the most in its Division I-A history. The program had won 10 games in its first seven years in I-A, they won half of that total in ‘07. UB finished with a 5-3 conference record, including a 4-2 mark in the MAC East Division to claim a share of the regular season title. Prior to the 2007 campaign, UB had won eight MAC games total in the previous eight years.
University at Buffalo - Football - Go Bulls!
I think that would be very , very exciting if I were an ISU player and knew TG was coming.
Turner Gill
Brian Kelly
Chris Peterson
Todd Graham
Turner Gill just because peeps have heard of him ?? Please review Graham's history.... Why no Glen Mason option ??
I mentioned Cooper in a different tread - I think he's still a little upset about not getting the job after Bruce. And he's 71 (older than Snyder, even...) His name was running around campus when tOSU canned him and Mac's contract hadn't been renewed, yet. And yet, because it was shortly after I first heard it...
I just dont understand why Auburn would fire Tuberville for Chizik.
Call in all the big donors (Stark, Albaugh, Jacobsen, etc.) get them to pony up the bucks, then go hire Gary Patterson. He is a proven head coach over time, not a flash in the pan, he recruits Texas, and has beaten OU, T Tech, Baylor and ISU in the past few years.
We need to get Patterson off our minds. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he becomes the ISU coach. TCU has the money to keep him, and right now he has a better shot at getting into the BCS there than he does here. Run the table and win the MWC and you're in. Graham is legit. Gill is legit. We should be able to get one of these two...
John Cooper with Ben Bruns designated as HCIW.
Count me int he camp that would take MaCarney back. Heck, I have congratulated him with his success at his latest assignments. He would have to come back with some super assistants coordinators though in a package deal....no interviewing in March for the leftovers from Indiana or other Fine states (get the pun) or hiring good ol' boys who are out of work. Mac would need to come to the interview with his two major appointments already as a team. Of course, he may not do this with Pollard, but maybe there are some screws yet to be turned.
We still like you Dan, and always wished the best for you. We knew your heart was in it. Of course, I want Larry Eustachy back too. Many of you will disagree, but I want a coach who is going to fight back at the Texas Referees and the Lawrence Kansas homeboy basketball referees. Isn't "Fight" in our "Fight" song??? Not "Oh we will scowl, scowl, scowl for Iowa State, may my resume ever fly. Oh I will scowl, scowl, scowl for Iowa State, looking for other jobs with my eye. Vagrant Employee seasonally true, and I will fight till my next interview. And when I seek that warmer job, I will deny that charge with every dodge for IIII SSSSS UUUUUUU!"
I would have voted for Gill, but just don't see it as very likely.
Kragthorpe at Louisville was a hot candidate last time...I'd take him in a heartbeat now...
