The coaching change affects all of you more than it does any of us fans. Please don't feel alone... you've got thousand's of ISU fans feelin the same way.

But we're not the Iowa State Gene Chiziks. We're the CYCLONES!!! You guys are CYCLONES! And you can count on me having your back each and every day. And there are thousand's of us that don't post on these boards that will have your back next year's games too! You may not know us by name... but we know you and love watching you guys do what you do best!

Thanks for giving your all every game for us this year! I look forward to watching you guys next year.

I know we've got a vocal minority that likes to post their frustrations on message boards. But you've got a fanbase like no other. I live in a different state now that I'm graduated and I've got fellow alum's buyin me a beer downtown when I'm wearing my Cyclone gear. We've got amazing fans... and amazing players... and next year we'll prove that to everyone that nothing can keep us down!!

Edit: Almost forgot the most important part... remember that you guys still have each other... all the things you have been building toward... that's not lost... the guys who actually put the ball in the endzone and keep our opponents from doing so are still here. The only thing I ask you all to do is to talk to your teammates, don't feel abandoned by yourself and try to cope alone. This is just another battle for the team to get through... and you can't win it without your teammates.

Very well put and I would add as someone else has that the very least you can do as players is give ISU and the new coach a chance. I realize that you have been recruited in most cases to play for Gene and your family put you into his care. But realize that you guys are going to be the reason that we are put back on the map and not Gene.
