You are right. There are better jobs than ISU. WHat everyone is angry about is his arrogance and abuse. He abused our good will while he lined his buddies pockets, gave a personal half *** effort, all while lip servicing integrity, honor, and team.

He was using these kids to better himself. He wasn't serving them he's abused them. Next question?

I feel like I might actually be embarrassed for knowing you guys are going out there to heckle him and his family.

    well said.

I hope nobody here has ever quit a job because a better one came along. I would go and yell at you and your kids as you leave town too.
It has been said about a million times that it isn't that he is leaving, it is his timing/how he is doing it. If he stuck around next year and won us a BCS game, I would be like "See ya coach, thank you for everything! I hope you have success", instead he did a half-a**ed job and left after 2 years.

I look at it this way: you hire someone to build you a house from scratch. They lay the foundation and put up the walls and it doesn't look the best yet but it is better than the nothing you started with. Then a millionair comes and asks that guy to build him a house for double (dispite the fact the dude has never built a house, just helped out on a few others), and he leaves your house with just the foundation and walls up. Yeah, he got that far so I guess it isn't so bad and you only pay him for the little amount of work he did do but wouldn't you be like "Dude, I paid for a complete house, I want my complete house!" I would...

    Re: Ames Airport

I totally get why we are all upset with Chizik. I am upset too. The guy left us when we totally needed him. I do think that if Tuberville was not fired at Auburn, that GC would have given our program great effort next season as well.

All I want a coach to do is work as hard as they can while they are here. It appears to me he did that. Thats why all the players loved him when he was here.

I guess I just hate the Victim attitude that ISU fans have. Just move on. You think most ISU fans would have thicker skin by now.

Greg could have left UNI, after they made the dance for his 1st time, he did not because UNI was is Dream Job and Ala mater.

Couple years later after the 3rd trip in a row, More schools came calling, he then choose to advance his career.

He chose ISU because he is a Iowan, and loved the State and Family was close by.

To compare GC and GM is ridiculous, he left his Top Asstiant in position to run the program at UNI, that he still cares about and donates money to.

GC, was very unprofessional in the way he handled this move, was it not less than a month ago he was saying that he was sorry he ever took the job....? Then tells his team last Sunday (Football Banquet) he would be here, when he was looking to jump ship....?

OMG. This not the same as just some coach getting a better job somewhere. This is about a guy who came to ISU with clear objectives and goals. He sold the school, the team, the players, the community to 18-19 year old kids. Most of our recruits may have had better offers. Chizik told them to come to Ames - take a chance, I will take care of you.

He left without accomplishing ANYTHING - for a job he doesn't deserve. He left because he is one of the good old boys down South who reward you not for accolades on the field, but because they "feel in their gut" that you are the right guy.

Its total BS. He let us all down. He is a quitter. And, if he has any integrety at all - he knows it.

    bull ****. !!!

he was negotiating a contract on my time...time he was to be recruiting for our team, getting coordinators in place for our team, getting results for our team...not the gene team. he created this; he played the "integrity and honor" card...to bad he doesn't have any in his hand.
