I guarantee if you were working for a company, and then a bigger, more prestigious company came along offering you twice the salary with benefits, you would jump ship, whether you thought you were completely ready or not.
I see one of us changing jobs a little differently than a head college football coach who is pulling down major cash already. How much money does a guy need? Not like he's going from $50K a year to $100K.
That having been said, I really don't care that he's gone, especially after seeing more about who he really is as a person. Probably best to get rid of him now than let him fester another two or three years.
I expect a lot of Chizik's players to leave. I have nothing to confirm this suspicion - it just wouldn't surprise me. It is pretty clear a lot of these guys came here for Gene. Player defections are a part of coaching changes. Trust me - this is going to set us back - again.
Tume to get a coach tomorrow. He will be betetr by swfauklt. DDo not be a Michigan and dink around till you hire a first year loser like Rodriquez. Or a second year bigger loser.
CFH HMagic bball season.
Let my fred's Four Horsemen ride.
There are three departures listed from Ames right now.
1. Captain ****** bag's plane, on the way to Auburn. I hope he gets a warm welcome from the Auburn faithful. Has anyone checked their boards to make sure they're aware? They seem to be on top of things, the way they handled their AD's arrival yesterday.
2. A flight from Ames landed at Boston Logan two hours ago. Could that be a destination as part of our coaching search?
3. There was a flight last night to Orange City. Was that possibly cheez-ick trying to secure a fall-back job at Northwestern College when Auburn cans his ***?
