Acetone is good for removing permenant marker... though I'd do a test spot in an inconspicous part of the helmet first...

Smacking it around like a racquet ball may work too... I had a professor I didn't care for freshman year (over half of his large lecture classes failed, if it gives you an idea of how good he was. Several hundred students)
So I wrote his name on a racquet ball, went to the Rec center, and smacked it around a court until I'd worn the marker off. I felt a lot better | Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy |

Mail it to the Auburn athletic office and ask them to remove it.

Put your GC helmet and your GC coins in a box. Stash them in a closet somewhere. If Chizik somehow becomes the next Pete Carroll, sell them on ebay for a profit and enjoy the money. If not, give them to the grandkids as toys.
No need to jump over the edge here.
Just an observation, but some folks seem to be taking alot of comfort in the fact that Chizik is going to fail at Auburn. What if he doesn't? He's a southern boy at a southern school; it could work out for him...

He probably will do better there than here but in Auburn they want national titles, not just SEC championships. Nothing I saw from Gene told me national champion head coach. That was fine before as he was coaching ISU.
All I want is decent bowls and to be in the running for the North every year, which I'm sure is what most ISU fans realistically want.
If Gene goes 8-4 with a good recruiting class, that isn't good there. If he goes 11-1, but their 1 loss is to Alabama, that isn't good there. Auburn wants 12-0, rolling over everyone, and winning the national championship every year, and it just isn't going to happen.
To us going to decent bowls would be succeeding, but to Auburn anything short of BCS is failure. I think most of us are saying that Chizik will fail the Auburn fanbase. I wouldn't say it's realistic to expect 5 wins in 2 years there...
