    Re: Your Coaching Shortlist

Cubit is the best current DI head coach we realistically have a chance at.

At least he's beat the Hawks.

    Re: Your Coaching Shortlist

um people were saying chizik was unrealistic to
"Day after day, situation after situation you do things the right way. If you do things the right way, in life, you are going to be successful. I'm not just your football coach; I'm not just here to win games. I could not be prouder of who we are and who we are becoming, together. You do things right in the classroom, off and on the field; that's whats's makes us Cyclones and that's what our culture's all about."

    1) Gary Patterson
    2) Mike Stoops
    3) Frank Solich
    4) Steve Loney
    5) Tommy Tubervill

All except Loney would be very big name hires. I like Loney because he would bring consistency at the coaching position. It is likely he would not leave for another job and would stay at ISU as long as he could. The other guys would be much more big name guys and that might help keep the players around right now.

It would be great. For some reason, I have a feeling that JP is talking to a guy in Houston. Again, pure gut feeling, but I could see him calling Bailiff. 9-3 at Rice is NOTHING to sneeze at. And he wasn't just going off Graham. He was 5-7 his first year, and then 9-3. That said, to those who say Graham just went off Kragthorpe at Tulsa, he did a lot at Rice...

nolan cromwell who was an outstanding big eight quarterback at kansas. he is with one of the NFL teams as a head offensive coordinator. does anyone know where he is currently coaching.

another hot shot name would be john elway who was qb for the denver broncos-might make a pretty heady collegiate coach.

The last time he was pacing the sidelines in Tulsa, we were looking for a new coach. Kragthorpe is in Louisville, and absolutely FLOUNDERING there. They went from being a darkhorse national title contender to not being in a bowl in two seasons.

Since Turner Gill is staying at Buffalo think you should take a good look at FrankSolich. A lot of us Nebraska fans think it was a big mistake to have gotten rid of Frank. Yes we all thought his recruiting had fallen off but can tell you this its when we got to Callahan's recruits is when our defense fell apart.

Why does anyone want Mike Stoops? He has bombed at Arizona and is worse with the media and fans than Chizik...
