Re: Keeler talks about why the ISU job is a good job
He makes the same points I was telling my hawkeye buddy today! Someone is going to walk into a good situation to spring board themselves to some success. I really think the ISU situation is pretty tempting for the right coach...

I hope it is a place for a good coach to find a long-term home. ISU will support its football, especially if it is winning. The money will be there, as long as a coach can recruit some above average athletes and has competitive teams on the field.
DMac didn't get run until it was apparent he had gone as far as he could, and kept making the same mistakes in year 12 as in year 2. The right coach at ISU could hopefully have a legacy similar to ORF at Iowa.

It is true. I think Pollard got 1 strike (right or wrong) for Chizik, and if McD doesn't do something good next year (note: I think he will because he will have a "complete" team for the first time while at ISU) then McD will be strike 2. This new coach failing would be strike 3 and Pollard would be out.
That being said, I think he gets it right. I really think he just got "Punk'd" by Chizik, but this new guy and McD will work out just fine...
