Would Boise's Peterson even consider us? His salary anyone?
I don't think he is considering any place but BSU. He apparently loves the place and has a special needs child. From what I have heard he wants to stay there, less pressure, more time for his kid.
Who would want to play for a coach with that kind of reputation?
Jeremy Maclin was a verbal commit to CU during the garbage. He only went to MU because GB was fired. I think there are plenty of others that are in the same boat that weren't reported in the media

This article says Maclin was committed to OU before taking a look at NU. How many times did that kid change his mind?
Barnett is not the best candidate for ISU. The man is Gary Patterson. I just have a feeling this is our guy. Patterson to ISU, Gill to TCU. Thats my prediction, with a announcement made on the 24th.
I hope you are right, that would be a great hire. I can easily get on board with Barnett. The original post was excellent. Barnett has won everywhere he has gone and would solidify the ISU job.

I could get on board with Barnett too, but I'm betting that Betsy Hoffman wouldn't. And she has a LOT of pull at ISU these days...as in only Geoffrey has more.
I'll make it three in a row, lets sign him up. I think he could have a +60% winning average here. He has had some drop offs after successful seasons (2003 they were 5-7) but McCarney was 2-10, they both rebounded the next year. I don't think that any shenanigans will happen here with the player life coach and other infrastructure that has been set into place, plus I don't think Pollard will tolerate it. The tenure will be for 7 years, the same as it was at NW and Colo. This time he will retire.
