That would be great to expand our horizons that way. I sure hope he's a heck of a recruiter because I'm sure we'll need to get some different athletes in here to play the systems he wants to play. I'd also like to know the validity of the link below regarding his defenses at Pitt. I doubt Auburn hires him if these stats are true.
this guy knows florida, alabama and georgia.this is a better recruiting base than NE. US.sorry if I came off harsh to others in chizak departure.that guy went 5-19.new blood with good pedigree is going to help your program succeed. this was a good hire. Tider
I'm not that excited about those recruiting areas. If we are going into those states, we are automatically behind the entire Big 11, because they are on TV there are we are not. I'd much rather focus on TX, OK and MO. Have enough staff connections to battle iowa in-state and midwest connections to get an occasional guy from MN, WI and NE. Then send a couple guys down to FL because there is a ton of talent down there that gets overlooked.
here is our current commitment list, something that will probably change somewhat if not a lot by signing day.
one question-why the hell don't we have a verbal from a d-lineman yet?! i know taylor martin was verballed and re-opened his recruiting after gc left us high and dry, but i would think we should have several solid commits at this position, being it was obviously our weakest spot last year.
