Anyone driving to Ames to see Rhoads' introduction?
I left Ames last night and got home at 1:15am this morning, but I'm seriously considering going back to Ames tonight to see Rhoads introduced at the basketball game. Is anyone else doing it? It's a 2-hour drive each way, but it might be worth it, just to be there. I feel bad for the guy- he gets hired 24 hours after half the city hightails it out of town for Christmas break, so he doesn't get a super-huge party thrown for him in Hilton. The Jacksonvill State MBB game was going to be sparsely attended, but I wonder if this will increase attendance much. I was there last time; should I want to be there this time?

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

I was at sleazik's presser and it wasn't attended all that well. There will be more at the game than at his announcement

Well, I am going to Ames for the basketball game... the halftime introduction will be a nice bonus.
I'm sure they will help build on each other actually- the halftime introduction will bring more people than would normally attend a basketball game on a snowy day before break, and the basketball game will bring more people than would normally attend a coach's introduction. I guess you could call it... Cynergy!

I sincerely doubt there will be more people there than at the basketball game.

I'll be there with bells on.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Can anyone put this on youtube so the Sleazick can see it?

Looks like we may help Alabama again by talking to some ex recruits of Auburn....just saying. They owe us a tailgate sometime in the future. The defense was the best part of Alabam. No worry, Kid Rock, the Chiz will run the defense. Yeah. Cover nobody.

Good idea, Wesley. Can someone going to the game bring a camcorder (not a cell phone or crappy point-and-shoot) and record the halftime introduction? I'm sure a lot of Cyclone fans that can't make it tonight would love to watch the event on Youtube!

The beauty of this hire is Bob McFarland and other current staff people have a better shot at keeping their job. Basically, the one HC took a hike, not the rest of the staff yet.

Going to make the 5 minute drive and sit in my lower level seats on my hands (sarcasm).

Where's your pirate??
We're going. They don't allow camcorders, do they?
I guarantee it's on cyclones.com.
We'll think about the camcorder, from up in 216.
