Auburn recruits following?

This feature on rivals breaks down some of the recruiting process as to which coaches played a strong part at bringing in new talent.

While Im sure Rhoads played a part in some drawing interest from the kids on defense, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out....based off who might come along from Auburn to join the new staff and if any recruits decide to follow.

I could see Auburn recruits going elsewhere but not too many of them coming here.

Willis did get some decent recruits though... if we could get him as an assistant it might help.

Gene fired the whole staff so he could hire more promised buddies. Actually, i think coaches fire the group and forces them to re-apply to make them know they were the HC hire. Has he named anyone yet? it has been a week.

True that. Willis recruited some hard hitting LB's...and right now getting some LB's is a big focus

Just kidding....kind of. The whole racist thing is probably not fair to Chizik, but life is not fair. He will forever be associated with it now. Just desserts?
He will be associated with this just like Woody Hayes is associated with punching a kid, The Alabama coach (forget name) that never coached a day was associated with strip clubs, and OJ is associated with nearly decapitating two people.
If I was a good Auburn recruit, I would be begging Iowa State to take me. If I was an average Auburn recruit, I would be transferring to Troy or Florida International. If I was an average Auburn fan, I would not know how to read this sentence because all I learned to spell during my second stint in 9th grade was "Wa Egull".

Yup - and Willis probably won't be too loyal to Auburn after firing his boss and the fiasco that followed. A move with his coworker to Ames might be in the cards if they were tight.

The players might not follow. Many factors in that decision. Kinda doubtful we'd get many... but even one would help settle the score a bit more.
