Let the guy coach a game

Or at least have his press conference before you hate on him. My gosh some of you sound like Auburn fans. Sure he isnt the splash hire, but give him a chance. I think some of you would be ****** no matter who was hired. Every good HC was an asst coach that someone took a chance on hiring. There are only a few non BCS coaches that have the record to move up, and most of those have good deals where they are and are happy there. A proven HC can fail just as well as an asst coach can.

Gotta love it. Some people just cant let go of what they cling to long enough to try something new out.

We hired a coach, not a name. I'm pumped.

    I'm stoked too!

    All Rhoads lead to Ames!!

He has more passion for Cyclone football in one of his gray hairs than the chiz ever had in the past 2 years.

I'm JACKED UP!!!! Awesome hire!!!! I don't understand how some people can be so unhappy about bringing in a guy who can just flat out coach and is an Iowa native. Some people wouldn't be happy unless we got somebody like Urban Meyer or Nick Saban... just ridiculous. Go State and GREAT HIRE!

Ummm, did I miss something? When did he get HC experience? Nothing wrong with about being excited, but he is a proven coordinator, not HC.

And obviously he can flat out coach, look at how his defenses have done. Coordinators do most the coaching, and he's done very well at COACHING his defenses.
