You have got to be kidding me....I counted 76 "you knows" in a Gene Chizik press conference one time. I'm not kidding - he sounded like one of the players rather than a head coach.

I just got chills watching that....that guy definitely has PASSION and I love it!
It's gonna be a tough road, but it sounds like he's got support on all fronts (including the verizon network) and I'm very happy this guy will be leading the way. GO GET'M PAUL!!!!

I will give you some of the message was very similar but the emotion was on a completely different level. I will join most of the others and say he impressed me big time!

I decided today that I am going to save our football program. I am going to become a coach, and you can see me in about 15-20 years when I make it to the level required. Until then, enjoy your vaseline-covered hinies being rubbed and promised a good future while terrible coaches and teams file through. Just leave

Re: Official Rhoads Press Conference Thread
That was pretty compelling.
Rhoads is obviously a guy that cares, is passionate and the players, if they're open minded, will run through fire for.
I thought it interesting that JP mentioned that Rhoads and his wife came into the ISU athletic offices just to visit with JP and talk football and ISU.
This to me shows that he wanted the job even back then, but it also proves something else. He wants to be at ISU for all the right reasons.
Color me cardinal and gold. For Paul Rhoads has me completely sold.

Wow, did he call Les Miles for interview tips? Cracked me up. I'm surprised he didn't conclude with "and have a nice day" while making a pistol with one hand.

How many days till Sept 3rd? I'm too lazy to count.
“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.” -

You didn't think he radiated confidence? what press conference were you watching? Even Pollard talked about his comprehensive plan for ISU football. He was very confident and did a great job of expressing his desired to challenge his student-athletes to succeed. We had a coach that showed no emotion. That got us 5 wins in 2 years. I'll take passion over disinterest any day.
