Have I missed any news? With the exception of Fountain, have ANY or Chiziks staff from Iowa State been recruited away or hired somewhere else or taken to Auburn? I could still see a few retained here but just wonder about why none have been offically released. Do they continue to draw a salary?

Yes, they are under contract until next summer.

Kind of a telling sign that we haven't heard much talk about any of our current coaches being hired away.

We'll find out a heck of a lot more as the bowl season winds down.

Yeah, haven't really heard anything about Mcfarland or Bolt.

The coaches association convention is Jan 11-13. There are a lot of deals worked out at that time with out-of-work coaches for any open positions.

That's all well and good, but frankly we can't wait until then. We need to be on the recruiting trail now. Not at the end of January.

I agree with that as I expect PR to have most of his staff in place within the next week. Finding a position at the coaches convention will be an option for the guys who get left out.
