Ferentz has won 2.
ISU has won....
And as I said, the "minority" ot people agreed that KF should be fired. You even said so yourself with the "1/3 of posters on HR wanted him gone". As far as I know, 33% is not a majority.
There is a difference between criticism and wanting a guy gone. Most of the "head calling" was towards KOK, not KF. Was there frustration after the Pitt game when JC came in over Stanzi? Sure, I was frustrated, but I didn't want him fired. If frustration is the same as wanting a guy fired, then I guess every fan base in the nation wants their coach fired. Hell, even USC fans were frustrated after the Oregon State loss this year and the Stanford loss last year.
Second of all, a lot of Hawk fans wanted him gone pre-season b/c the program was looking really bad (mostly off the field, but also on). A lot of others wanted him fired b/c you guys started 3-3, making you a .500 program over the last 3 1/2 years.
Iowa plays in a conference living on the reputation of its past glory. It has been steadily going downhill for years, whether people want to wake up to reality is for them to decide.
ISU has not been good for years. We openly admit that. We play in a buzzsaw of a conference. Big12 North, for all the knocks it took, went 3-0 in bowls. We have 2 BCS teams very often who deserve their spots.
Penn State looked like a joke against USC. 31-7 at half, right? Can't wait for OSU to get their annual whoopin.
I just think it is comical that most Hawk fans are now saying they were never calling for Ferentz head! Where were you in August? Out of the state I am guessing
The Big Ten was down this year. It wasn't very strong last year either. But if you think the conference is "going downhill" any more than any other conference, you're an idiot. OSU has won 3 Fiesta Bowls since 2002 (including the NC), PSU has won an Orange Bowl, Wisconsin has won 2 Rose Bowls, etc...
And actually, here's a nifty little website that shows each conferences's BCS records ever since the system started.

Tell me, where is the Big Ten on that list? The Big 12?
Wisconsin winning Rose Bowls, um, was that even this decade?
Big Ten has a losing record in bowls since 2001, correct? Why yes, I believe it is:

A little touchy aren't you?
Iowa wins a New Year's Day bowl game yesterday and instead of celebrating that victory, Hawk fans are here upset that we don't join in the hero worship of kf (HPSE) and the rest of the Hawkeye Hoodlums.
The Big Ten is a relic and should have its BCS tie-in removed until it adds a championship game.
