There were plenty of fans calling for his head. Some of the same ones I know that were are now saying they need to get him an extension. Some will admit it, others won't.

Newsflash, this isn't isolated to Iowa's fanbase. It happens everywhere.

Personally, IMO this was his "make or break" season. Probably wouldn't have been removed this season, but the writing would have been on the wall if it was a losing season.

Your the BigTen fan, you tell me. Only conference with its own cable network, and people are not beating down the door to join so you meet that 12 team threshold?

The BigTen is staying at 11 teams so it gets 2BCS teams occasionally. Add a championship game, and that would severely limit this. This year, OSU and PSU meet, and either OSU wins and goes, and PSU doesn't get a BCS bid with 2 losses, or OSU has 3 losses and doesn't go.

By not adding a school, the BigTen is admitting it is soft, and gaming the current system. While it is a smart move financially, it is pretty cowardly. How many years has there been a co-championship? How stupid is that? We're number 1! Sorta. I guess we shouldn't expect much out of a conference that can't even count though.

I'd bet the adding of a championship game each year would easily be a better financial move. Its not like they would lose their cable contract.

A team like Pitt, Syracuse, etc. would fit perfect (new, large TV market, etc.)

The Big Ten has a better post-season record than the Big 12 since 2001. And has a better winning percentage in BCS games.

I've given you two sites that show this, and yet you keep saying that the Big Ten should lose their BCS automatic berth, or that the Big Ten is soft.

PLEASE, I'd like to see your argument.

Don't fret some of these fellas are like this. As for the conference addition a Championship game wouldn't nullify our ability to get 2 teams in a BCS game. That is the assessment of those with a ripe vineyard, not reality.

The truth is there are only about 6 teams in the country who would fit the Big 10's bill for an athletic and an academic fit. The Cuse (I think), Pitt, Rutgers, Nebbie, Mizzou and Texas. They have to be in the research consortium or NO entry. They would have made an exception for ND because of their "excellent" academic reputation and athletics.

Which there is a story there that goes in the 70's the ND nation wanted in and the 10 said NO. ND paid us back of recent.

We need to keep things in perspective. Yes, they did beat PSU, but that was a very average SC team that they beat with turnovers.

After the interview following the game, I thought Ferentz was basically saying-- Cleveland or KC, here I come.

I am just ignoring you, like I do with most petulant children. I knew plenty of people like you at ISU, and for the life of me I couldn't understand why they bothered being there, similar to the fact that I can't understand why you are here. If you are indeed such a diehard fan of a schools sports teams, then why not go to school there, if it does indeed mean so much to you? Also, why frequent this place so much, with thousands of posts? This isn't Happy Hawkeye Homer Haven, its Cyclone Fanatic. Home to Cyclone fans. You picked your side, now stay there. You aren't here for rational discussion, you are here for Hawkeye bluster.

You want to be such a Hawkeye, fine, get the tattoos, strap on the bumblebee overalls, mumble Go Hawks! repeatedly and drool on yourself before you pass out in your trailer. Doesn't make any difference to me. There are several Hawkeye fans sites to choose from that you would feel right at home at. Heck, you might even find some tips on how to better insulate your trailer to avoid those wicked drafts this time of year.

I hope it is KC. Can't really stand the Chiefs, while I do like the Browns organization. I think they have a great owner, and would hate to have to actively root against them.

You guys are really stretching if you are trying to make an equvalency argument between LE and rape or drug dealing. Berryman getting in a fight and stealing a cell phone vs. stealing old lady's credit cards and charging thousands of dollars?

I'm really sad and a bit ****** off that Iowans care more about winning football games than what's right and wrong. I still can't believe some of you Hawks don't care about what this guy's football players have done to your campus.

When I tell you I take honesty and integrity very seriously I mean I think lying alone even in the smallest sense is atrocious behavior, though I know we all hedge. It' is still wrong and the root beginning of all evil.

I say that to say this, if you believe this despite it being investigated by multiple sources and completely disregarded by the countless people on the local and national level that vouch for Ferentz integrity then there is no hope for you ever being impartial in this case.

Though that's what those who "hate" and then judge do. People constantly called Tom Ozborne's integrity into question and by most accounts, from people I respect, who love Jesus and readily admit their own failures he was a heck of a man.

I don't know you nor do I want to offend you, but you or anyone who thinks this way is clearly jaded and only interested in witch hunting.
