Based on what I have read about our new OC, I LOVE the hire! Hopefully ISU can break 50 offensive records in two years with him here. This is really the type of coordinator hire I wanted to see, hopefully the D-coordinator will be the same type of hire.

I am in agreement on this hire...stats look great, he's young and has some great Texas ties. Paul and Jamie are doing very well so far...can't wait to see who the DC will be!!!

I think this is the perfect hire for ISU at this time. Refreshing to have a HC that doesn't just hire his friends.

I remember that no one was really excited about any of GC's asst hirings, with exception of maybe Shep. Most others came to Ames without much of a highly rated reputation.

I thought McFarland had a fairly good resume...
