David Blackwell-Clemson next DC?

Here's the guy I think will be our next Defensive Coordinator. David Blackwell of Clemson. Has worked closely with PR, and is ready for the next step. He's 38 years old.

ISU Head Coach for 12 years; Defensive Line coach at Florida; then D coordinator at ISU!

another Clemson assistant was recently hired as a coordinator at Kstate.

Whgever we get, he has to work closely with PBR and know what he wants. If you hire a head coach because he's good at coaching defenses, it would mke sense to use his expertise. Chizik wasted his knowledge at Iowa State it seemed to me.

We need to reach out to an African American Defensive coordinator coach who will help us with recruiting. Not sure who is available.

An article in Clemson Tigers Insider says we're one of several schools that have shown heavy interest in Blackwell during the past few weeks. (Free info from a Google news search blurb.)
