11 Play Goal Line Series
Tom Herman's offense at Rice had the "honor" of being kept out of the endzone this year on 11 consecutive plays from inside the five yard line. On third down on a nice bootleg, the open receiver drops an easy touchdown pass in the endzone. On fourth down UT interferes in the endzone. New set of downs. 2nd down interference again in endzone, new set of downs. 2nd down QB runs for touchdown - procedure. Fouth down pass incomplete in endzone.
Interesting series besides the uniqueness of 11 play goal line stand by the longhorns. I only recall one TE (in typical formation) Four or Five wide every play. 3 QB runs. 2 Screens (similar to what TT runs)

Re: 11 Play Goal Line Series
Sounds kind of like this series:
1-G-10: Incomplete pass
2-G-10: 6 yard pass
3-G-4: False Start
3-G-9: False Start
3-G-14: 9 yard pass
4-G-5: 22 yd FG Good, roughing the kicker (accepted)
1-G-2: Incomplete pass, pass interference (accepted)
1-G-2: False Start
1-G-7: -2 yard rush
2-G-9: Delay of Game
2-G-14: Incomplete pass
3-G-14: 7 yard pass, illegal block (accepted)
3-G-17: Incomplete pass
4-G-17: 34-yd FG Good

Second is the aggressiveness that they showed at the goal line. Not scoring as Rice against UT is no sin. Playing to win and going for the endzone every time is exciting. It is going to very different in Ames on Saturdays. Some will be good, some will frustrate us I am sure, but it will be a different breed of football.
(btw I doubt we will run the clock out at the end of the half every game)
