    Remember, DMac did coach a really good defense for Wisconsin to the Rose Bowl and has done a great job at FSU and FU; but, he will never come back and I really don't know if he will be the best choice.

    Ugg, the Mac talk.

    Did anyone hear Marty and Miller tonight? A caller from Ames tossed them a softy and asked about the DC position for ISU. Neither of those two boneheads knew if ISU had hired one or not. They had no clue whatsoever. Thank god my commute is only about 15 minutes. I'm new to the site, I'm sure you have spent plenty of time blasting those idiots.

    If you can tackle that defense can work. The problem was we stopped tackling. We have guys at the corners that have shown they can hit. Teach them to wrap up on those hits and they will be a force. I just don't see a lock down man coverage working here with the caliber of players we can get. Those types of corners are not plentiful in college football these days.

    Crazy yes, but not as crazy as some may think. Nick Holt did basically the same thing recently. Not sure we have over 2 million to spend on a coordinator though.
    Nick Holt could make up to $2.1 million as Washington defensive coordinator - ESPN

    I would hope not. I would hate to think how uncomfortable that would be to have your DC earning more than your HC.

    It would only be about 700k per, so slightly less than the head coach is making.
