North Dakota State football coach Craig Bohl said late Friday night that he will be interviewing for both offensive and defensive coordinator positions at the upcoming American Football Coaches Association National Convention, meaning that Pat Perles is definitely leaving as offensive coordinator.
“I will be interviewing for both coordinator positions at the convention,” Bohl told WDAY-TV by phone.
The convention will run Jan. 11-14 in Nashville.
Earlier this week Perles was rumored to be courted by both Miami University (Ohio) and Ball State University.
Perles had been with Bohl since taking over at NDSU in 2003. He was the offensive line coach for two years and started handling play-calling duties in 2005.
NDSU also lost defensive coordinator Willie Mack Garza to the University of New Mexico.
