Re: I had no idea!
Bradford was OU all the way. He just had to wait for Stoops to give him the Scholly and his mind was made up. It was basically OU and if they never offered it was everyone else.

Harrell and Crabtree go hand in hand, which is why they were both in the heisman race. Green and Crabtree would have to give, one way or the other. I'll give you that point. TTU's passing offense is unmatched.

He didn't even visit Iowa....

Re: I had no idea!
KU thought they were going to get Crabtree. He was an unbelievable athlete out of high school in both football and basketball. It would have been interesting to see how KU could have done with him, but you can't argue with his decision since Texas Tech beat us by 1,000 points.

Re: I had no idea!
His senior stats were nothing great at all 19 TD's to 15 INT's? Thats not stellar. 1.7 yards per rush. Me thinks almost anyone could go in and be great on OU's team.

Re: I had no idea!
It's quite obvious why Bradford didn't come here. Look who he was recruited by.
Barney Cotton.

Crabtree narrows the list
Landon Wright

Many recruits commit after they've gotten a few offers in the spring, some commit once they get what may be their only offer, and the remaining ones pile up their offers all season only to make a decision close to signing day. Say hello to Michael Crabtree.
Crabtree is one of the best uncommitted players in the country right now. This past season he led Dallas Carter to the playoffs, watching his stock rise tremendously, and is now a Rivals 250 player. With all the attention and all the offers, it was not until last week that he took his first visit.
"I just went to Kansas, It was real nice," Crabtree explained.
With his impressive list of favorites, he has finally narrowed the list down. "I like Kansas, Texas Tech and Iowa, that's my top three. They're all about the same," Crabtree said.
With three weeks until signing day and one decision to make, Crabtree has two more visits to cram in.
"I got Tech this weekend and I'm supposed to have Iowa next weekend," explained Crabtree.
Texas Tech, with their explosive passing offense, is becoming quite picky about what receivers they go after, and Crabtree happens to be one of their favorites. Good for them, they are also one of Crabtree's favorites.
"I'm looking forward to it. I'm leaving Friday after our game," explained Crabtree, "they're just waiting on me to come."
Will his decision be known before signing day?
"I'll make my decision when I visit both schools," Crabtree explained.

Re: I had no idea!
This may be part of the reason it's so difficult to recruit to Iowa State. Bradford chooses Oklahoma, and three years later wins the Heisman and makes the national championship game. If he had chosen Iowa State, he'd be preparing for spring ball under his third head coach. These results may not be typical, but, even through the most cardinal and gold-shaded glasses, I'd say he made the right choice.

Re: I had no idea!
Way to get out there and recruit a player we had no chance at getting Barney. Maybe instead you should have taken lessons on how to coach an offense.
