Apparently we have offered a QB Doak Raulston out of TX. Has been committed to La Tech since early dec. Was wondering what everyone thought of offering a kid who has verbaled already?

I think it is more based on the relationship that Herman created with him through recruiting him at Rice.....

I'd say its about time we got some good news like this. I could care less if he has verbaled already. Until a recruit signs his LOI, its still free game for everyone.

No problem with it...everyone does it so we are behind the curve if we don't as well.

Kid may be a good prospect, but he looks like a ...well let's just say his Rivals picture isn't that imposing...LOL

I'd have to believe he'd understand that he wouldn't play at all for at least two years, barring tragedy.

While probably true, it's an open competition so best man wins. He theoretically could play from day 1.

I think he is rated as a 75 on ESPN. 2 Star on Scout. Decent video on ESPN of him doing footwork drills at a camp. And no I don't know how to post a link. Sorry

Theoretically, but he'd have to be pretty freaking impressive to do so. I firmly believe Arnaud will start, Tiller will get meaningful snaps and Bueker will get a couple of snaps over the next two years.

Tom Brady's video of his combine performance wasn't to imposing either. He turned out to be pretty okay.

Point I was making was not to judge a player based on a picture of him from Rivals (which isuno1fan made the case later by saying he could start from day 1 if he's the best)
