Iowa State WILL name a defensive coordinator. Coach Rhoads has met with every player individually. That's 110 players, 30 minute meeting, that five straight 11 hour days with no breaks. Add to that being on the road recruiting, meeting with staff on recruits, getting an office together, lining up interviews for staff and scheduling a personal meeting with candidates (yes, more than one) and you have a monumentall task that takes time. A wrong hire costs a lot more than waiting for the right hire.

I was in KC all week visiting family. The Chiefs drama is all too painfully similar to ISU.

Cunningham's loss was very painful for many. He was well liked by the fans, but he and Edwards do not see eye to eye. It tells you how sad the situation must be to see him leave for Detroit.

I would have loved to see him at ISU, but I don't think 18 year olds could handle his deMEANor.

president gooffroy just fired jamie poand he hired dan mccamey to be head athletic director and defensive coordinator for coach paul rhoads.
