Re: I read this on Rhoads
I really think this has to be hurting our defense recruiting at this point. If you're a LB or DL prospect, how can you seriously consider coming to ISU when you don't know who your position coach or DC is going to be. It would be tough to make that commitment.

Re: I read this on Rhoads
I don't buy the argument PR hasn't offered this job to anyone as of yet. Make no mistake, but this is a priority whether he admits it or not.
Heck...he even said he wanted his staff complete by mid January. That has come and gone.
I do give PR credit for waiting on the right person. I believe he has struck out on a couple offers, but instead of taking someone just to fill the slot he is truly looking for the best he can bring to ISU.

Re: I read this on Rhoads
I am guessing he has a very good idea of what he wants to do with the defense. I am sure that whomever the DC ends up being will be following the path he wants them to follow. If it were the OC that we were missing I think that would be more of a problem since he comes in as a defensive mind.

Re: I read this on Rhoads
there is already a long thread talking about this, but here is my opinion, if it doesn't matter to the head coach then i'm not gnna worry about it.

I don't believe not having a DC is having that big of an impact on the recruiting since that is Rhoad's background. He has a defense that he wants to run, so he will recruit to fit those need and the DC will run Rhoad's defense. The OC was different because that is not his background, so he needed to have someone in place to fill that need before finalizing the recruiting on offense.
