Final Scholarships
I'm guessing we have 3 schollies left - or somewhere around that number. So how do we use those last three.....
Here's my guess/hopes.....
Get 3 of these 5 and i would be very excited about this class.
My final three schollies in a dream world would come from these five... Re: Final Scholarships
I wouldn't be disappointed with that at all. I would add the QB Tettleton to that list. I really liked his videos. Although the staff may hold off on a QB and go after a better one next year.

Re: Final Scholarships
I definitely think you should add Dearco Nolan and Doak Raulston to that list. I think we are at 21 right now so we'd have 4 more to give out (IIRC).

Re: Final Scholarships
I believe we have 6 more spots open. We have 21 commits so far but 2 of them are early signees so I think we can use them towards last years recruiting class. That puts as at 19.
I would like to see:
QB
Lang
Marry, Mars
2 DE's

Re: Final Scholarships
Unless a new one has committed in the past 12 hours, this is what we should have: Joshua Bellamy---------- Rivals 3*------Scout 3*-------WR Beau Blankenship------- Rivals 3*------Scout 3*--------RB Deon Broomfield------- Rivals 2*------Scout 2*---------S Princeton Jackson------ Rivals 2*------Scout 2*---------OLB Donnie Jennert--------- Rivals 3*------Scout 3*--------WR A.J. Klein-------------- Rivals 3*------Scout 3*--------OLB/MLB Jake Knott------------- Rivals 2*------Scout 1*--------OLB Josh Lenz-------------- Rivals 2*------Scout 2*--------WR Kyle Lichtenberg------- Rivals 3*------Scout 2*--------OT Taylor Martin---------- Rivals 3* ------Scout 2*---------DE Brandon Mims----------Rivals 0*------No Record------Ath Aaron Moore-----------Rivals 3*------Scout 2*--------OT Jeremy Reeves--------- Rivals 2*------Scout 2*---------CB Darius Reynolds------- Rivals 4*------Scout 3*--------Ath Willie Scott------------ Rivals 0*------ Scout 1*--------OLB/TE David Sims------------ Rivals 2*------Scout 4*--------S Zack Spears----------- Rivals 2*------No Record-----OT Jacques Washington--- Rivals 2*-------Scout 2*--------CB Jansen Watson-------- Rivals 2*-------Scout 2*---------S James White---------- Rivals 3*------Scout 3*--------RB Walter Woods-------- Rivals 2*-------Scout 1*--------DT
That's 21 which gives us 4 left, and one of these supposedly decommitted but is expected to recommit so that's why I left him on the list. So that's 5 scholarships left plus, if I understand correctly, we can actually use two of next years scholarships which would give us at most 7. Here is the break down of positions we have so far: 4 OLB 3 WR 3 OT 3 S 2 RB 2 Ath (one will likely play WR, unknown what position the other will play- most likely on D) 2 CB 1 DE 1 DT

I would like to see:
QB
Lang
Marry, Mars 2 DE's It was interesting that i saw one of our recruits thats listed as an OLB Willie Scott is being recruited as a DE - sort of like Roosevelt Meggitt.....hope thats true, redshirt him, get a bit more size on him and then capitalize on his 4.6 speed - can you say speed rushing end!!!!!

Re: Final Scholarships
The good thing about Scott is his head coach played in the NFL for about 10 years with the Redskins, Browns and one other team (Kenard Lang). I can definitely see this guy becoming a DE ala Maggitt. Obviously we have yet to see how Maggitt can play, but hopefully Scott will work out!!
As for remaining scholarships. We need a QB, DL, LB, and either a DL/LB/S for the last one. If we get Mike Lang I won't be too upset. I see Lenz being something other than a WR, so Lang would just fill that void!!

Re: Final Scholarships
Also keep in mind that Joshua Bellamy is currently a soft verbal and is still looking around. So if he decides to go elsewhere, which I hope he doesn't, we'd have his schollie back up for grabs.

I also think Donnie Jennert will convert to a TE, although having a nice sized receiver is never a bad thing in my eyes.

I don't know about anyone else but I've been pretty impressed with what Rhoads has done in a very short period. Can't wait to see what kind of class he can put together with a whole year to work with.

The caliber of athletes he's attracting seem to fit what we need to turn this ship around. I just hope they can live up to the expectations we set for them.
Here's to a solid class come signing day and many more and BETTER classes to come!
