Re: What commit are you most excited for?
No love for Joshua Bellamy??? He will be playing alot next year---he is a play maker. I'm going to poop my pants when I see Sed, Darius, Carlson/Reynolds, Bellamy and Franklin (yeah I know he is a tight end but he will be split out alot) all on the field at the same time. Our receiving corps has to be in the top 3 in the big 12 next year, but easily the best in the north. Carlson, Lenz, Jennert, Blanton, Bellamy, Darks, Johnson, Range, Reynolds, Jones, Hamilton=WOW!!!
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
As I read all of the posts, I don't see a real favorite..
Thats good news!
Its hard to pick just one, the class seems to have a lot of potential!
I voted for Walter Woods
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
Each of them will be playmakers in their own way!!!
Welcome to ALL.
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
I was excited to see JJ to. I'm waiting til they play.
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
And although I didn't vote for him, I honestly think Lichtenberg might be the best player in the state.
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
Walter Woods III played his senior year as a 16 year old. Didn't turn 17 until early November. I wouldn't tell him to his face, that he is not a man yet. But in a year or two he is going to be "da man" !!!

Re: What commit are you most excited for?
im also very intrigued by Jansen Watson... for some reason i feel like he will be a stud saftey
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
Everybody keeps talking about problems on the D-Line for next year, but I thought Scott Haughton moved to DT for next year when Spears was signed to play at a tackle spot. Lamaak was moving over to center last I had heard so I think it shakes out like this...
C Lamaak, Knapp
LT Hicks, Spears
LG Osemele, Alvarez
RG Stephens, Baysinger
RT Hulbert, Klerekoper
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
As crazy as it sounds I'm actually very excited to see what Bellamy does! He has played against Money in California and Money was very excited to hear that he committed, a very good get by the staff!!! The more playmakers the better chance we have of making plays!!!
Go Cyclones!
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
I'm looking forward to seeing them all. Really looking forward to seeing Money play. On a side note, I saw on channel 5 that the spring game is April 18th.
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
After watching some film on these guys the ones that I really like are
Here is a ranking I guess of who I like and where I see them eventually
1. David Sims (S) will start next year
2. Jake Knott (Will start at LB, but I can see him playing either LB or DE)
3. Kyle Lichtenberg (T) (I really like this kid, put on a little more bulk and he will be ready to go)
4. James White (Another very solid RB in the stable
5. Beau Blankenship (Very quick kid, good RB but I could also see him eventually moving over and playing LB)
6. Aaron Moore (If he stays on defense I like him at DT)(He seems to move well horizontally down the line to make plays, doesn't seem to be quick enough for a rush end, but could also be a solid weakside defensive end)
7. Josh Bellamy (I think he will be the most immediate contributor of the signees on offense)(He really seems to provide a good deep threat and he makes plays)
8. A.J. Klein (I really like this kid as an outside linebacker who can fit the need of a pass coverage guy at the position, I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Knott hit the field as freshman)
9. Deon Broomfield (He will be a nice center fielder at safety, he fits a big need and will fill the role when Sims graduates)
10. Walter Woods (This kid has quickness and a knack for the ball, I really like him at DT and I think he will have nice leverage there)
11. Darius Reynolds (Will provide needed athleticism and should be a good slot receiver for the system. I don't see him starting but as a very solid option off of the bench next season)
12. Princeton Jackson (Really hits the hole well and is a good run stopper)
13. Jansen Watson (I see him filling the hitter and run stopping role from safety once James Smith graduates)
14. Jeremy Reeves (Like him as a corner. A little small and needs to add some weight, but I like the guy. Playmaker and good ups for a litt
15. Donnie Jennert (Good height and decent speed, will be a good target in the future whether from the WR or TE position)
16. Jacques Washington (See him becoming a very solid CB or S, not much known about him yet defensively)
17. Keith Blanton (Seems to have good quicks. I don't see him stepping in immediately, but I think he will be a good target for us in a couple of years)
18. Willie Scott (Questioned him early, but with some bulking up I think he might make for a very solid pass rusher from the DE position)
19. Josh Lenz (Not a lot known about him as a receiver. I think it will take a couple of years, but he seems to have the quicks to be a good slot possession receiver)
20. Taylor Martin (Will be a depth guy at DE. I am hoping he doesn't start but good size. Not a rush end though and that is what we need. I think we are fine at the other position.)
21. James Capello (Project. He understands the system he is coming in to and I think understands he isn't going to be a starter anytime soon. Good late pickup, not flashy but very solid pickup. I just can't rate him ahead of many people)
22. Brandon Mims (I really like Brandon Mims but I had to put him down here due to the unknown of where he will play. I think he might be an immediate special teams guy but it will take awhile to decide whether to put him on defense at safety or corner or at wide receiver. I really like the pickup. Has potential to be among the Top 5 kids in the class, but that is unknown right now.)
23. Zack Spears (This is nothing against Spears but I think he will be a good depth guy. Probably won't ever start, but he doesn't need to. Good pickup.
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
I'm excited about every single one, though I chose Darius because I've heard the most about him, and like every bit.
The slate is wiped clean.......these kids all have an opportunity to show what they've got to the world. I can't wait to see them play!
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
Marv. are you saying that you feel knott is going to start as a true freshman? i mean i go to school with and watched him really be the star of our HS team so i have some bias, but that would be really shocking to me. not saying it is impossible. just improbable
Re: What commit are you most excited for?
i like james white- i think he has the ability to bust the long one either by running the ball or taking a screen pass for a long gainer.
