As I recall, Auburn's Tuberville offered the DC position to CPR only a couple of years into his tenure as Pitt's DC. Didn't CPR decline the offer, saying he was obligated to stay more than a couple of years since the Pitt head coach gave him a great opportunity to become a DC?
Could be I've got the story wrong, but this is how I recall it at this moment. (Tuberville then hired Chizik as DC.)
