ok first time i read this thread.... "one" expereince with husker fans is not good enough. I am from Council Bluffs and obviously right next to Omaha... I will say that husker fans arent horrible... but i have run across A LOT of them who have stronger Kool-Aid than any of us. Some are down right ******** the way they sound sometimes.
I guess it is like when i was still in CoBluffs, I never really had anything against Hawk fans, but then once i came to Ames and was closer to IC and went to the ISU vs. Iowa FB game this year was when I found out that Hawk fans are the biggest douchers in the nation. So I think that most of you need to experience more than one husker fan. And granted i have met alot of good husker fans as well. it seems like over at husker nation you are either a huge ****** or a good person. really no in between from my experiences.
PS: Hawks suck
Nebraska fans have no problems telling you how many National Titles they've won or how the "order has been restored" :biglaugh:
My sister in law's dad is a NU alum. hes exceedingly gracious about NU football and very realistic. never rude or condescending. Ive met my share of NU buttholes though. Most of em are similar to the trailer trash hawk fans.
I just don't like that program and celebrate when it fails. I refused to leave JTS early during the 08 Nu game, so that the Husker fans could get that satisfaction.
We don't only do it when we win you know.
In '98 when Texas and Ricky Williams came in and snapped our 47 game home winning streak, we started a Heisman chant for Ricky afterwards.
We just appreciate good football if you ask me. I personally would rather have a close game where Nebraska loses than a 70-3 blowout in which we win.
