I had to endure the Mike McKnight era of missed PATs when I was at school and always thought that out of 25,000+ students there had to be at least ONE person on campus that could kick better than him. You never know what can come out of these. Most of the time you aren't going to find an impact player but if you at least don't give some kid a chance you never know who you might be missing out on.
You would think that until LJ knocked you on your ***.
I wouldn't be thinking anything after that because I would be dead. Besides, LJ would never have a legitimate shot to hit me (not like it would stop him) because I'm too fat and slow to even be a cannon fodder RB...
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.
I wonder if I could appeal the NCAA to get my freshmen year of eligibility back. After coaching for 5 years I know so much more about football I might be able to give a look on a scout team. Would need to gain back about 50 pounds of playing weight though.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
was a longsnapper in HS that ISU showed interest in. My ball speed from snap to punter were D1 level but problem was i was entirely too small/ not strong enough. I coped with life lol.
Just out of curiousity, how many seconds do the want from snap to punter? Obviously faster is better, but I've always wondered what is too slow? I get to teach longsnapping at the junior high, and we've got a couple kids who are pretty freaking good at it for their age.
A little brief research will show that schools such as Nebraska and Auburn both have held similar session recently. Yep, NU and AU are completely desperate as well with NU winning a bowl game a month ago and Auburn pulling in an very highly regarded recruiting class. Goes to show that this site is good at reporting garbage instead of news.
Anyone with common sense would know that a lot of school will take the time to at least look over some kids in hopes of finding a few for depth and such.
