and Iowa too. I really hope that PR puts him as a top priority quickly if he hasn't already. He's said to be a Cyclone fan and with these early offers I would think he would be a four star recruit after he blows up at summer camps. Please Brandon, choose the good guys!

Yes. Played quarterback for them last year along with tight end too I think. Does anybody know if he has the agility and/or quickness to play on the dline?

zI think regardless that he may be too big for DL already. I thought that he is 6'7' and almost 290 or so. Not too many 6'7" DT out there. Just hope that the good guys get him. I'll be looking for a Denison HS letter jacket on the sidelines of the ISU spring game hardcore. Shouldnt be too hard to find.

I would say that he might be the highest rated recruit out of Iowa for the 2010 class other than Derby. Think about the oline we could have with Kohler, Scherff, and then Lichtenberg from the 09 class. The instate recruits for 2010 will be VERY important for PR's success the next 4-5 years.

Scherff lists Nebraska and Iowa as his top two, according to the article. He said his connection to ISU is because some of his family are Clone fans.

I have not doubt that PR will go after Iowa kids and will be very successful in getting them to come to ISU. He has great connections with High school coaches in the state of Iowa.

Adjusted that - I don't know that the connections are already in place, but do not doubt that he will build some great relationships with the HS coaches in Iowa. I seem to remember reading somewhere that CPR said he was planning to contact every coach in Iowa by a certain date or in a certain time frame. I like the sound of that! We may not win every in-state recruiting battle, but we shouldn't loose them all either.

PR already has great connections in this state. He coached at ISU years back and many of the coaches that came to the clinics that we hosted back then are still in the game now. In addition, his father is in the Iowa FB Coaches HOF and he has connections to many of the "old guard" coaches in the state.

It will be easy to introduce himself to the rest of the coaches this spring when ISU hosts its clinic.

I will be slightly surprised if we don't land him. I know he says that Nebraska and Iowa are his two favorites but he hasn't been to our Junior day yet and he is an ISU fan. PR will win him over
