im gonna go with the players on this one. i dont think Rhoads would know if he was the coach or not. the players have a better feel for this than he himself.
Good enough for me. I am sure things could have changed since PR's comments. I think they have people on the staff with enough ST experience to handle everything collaboratively. If you hear it from players, I believe it.

Thanks!
I should back up a bit...I wouldnt be surprised if PR has a hand in the special teams department, but this wont be just his baby. From what I was told, it will be a collaborative effort by multiple coaches. Teams generally only spend 10-15 minutes in practice every week at most practicing coverages, schemes and all that stuff that goes with special teams. The specialists on the other hand do their thing throughout practice.

Under Chiz we spent anywhere from 10-30 minutes per practice on special teams. Every day.

"Special Forces"
For the most part it showed positives too. We excuted onside kicks and fake punts very, very well and our kick returns were stellar.
Alas we still needed work on punt coverage (which did get better) and punt returns.
I am nervous we don't have a coach with the "official" title like Boulware did with RBs/Special Teams but as long as some coach takes it and spends time on it we should be ok.

Well, the entire team usually practices special teams at once, so it's not like it takes away from other positional duties. I think Rhoads wants to do it so he can still feel involved.
