FB Staff Role with questions

Paul Rhoads - Head Coach

Brian Schwartze - Director of FB operations - Is this the recruiting coordinator?

Wally Burnham - DC and LB's
Shane Burnham - DT's
Curtis Bray - Defensive Line coach - mainly DE's after Shanes hiring as DT coach or will Shane work under him? Wouldn't it make more sense to make Shane LB's coach or is this a money per title issue so Wally needs 2 titles?

Tom Herman - OC and QB's
Luke Wells - WR's
Kenneth Pope - RB's
Bill Bleil - Offensive position to be determined - So is he the new Offensive Line coach?

i brought this question up in a thread a couple days ago...what happened to only having 9 coaches? bringing shane on board puts us at 10.

im pretty sure the director of football operations is not considered a coach nor is he a recruiting coordinator. he just deals with the behind the scenes stuff as far as i can tell. such as making sure the managers have equipment ready to go for practices, games. somebody correct me if im wrong there.

so that still leaves PR to delegate one of the coaches as head of recruiting, just as fountain was TE coach AND recruiting coordinator.

9 on field assistants plus head coach.

The recruiting coordinator in title will be one of the 9 assistants but a lot of times a lot of the actual work is done by other people on staff like director or assistant director of operations.

Bray will be DEs and Shane will be DTs.

Bleil is the offensive line coach.

HGPuck you seem to know what youre talking about, or at least you majored in theater. do you have any insight on what exactly does a director of football operations do and what his responsibilities are?

HGPuck is correct.

Football ops deals with a lot of operations stuff too.....setting up stuff for road trips, camps, stuff like that.

Luke Wells was the recruiting coordinator for ULM.

You get 9 asst coaches the Director of FB opps is a support job and I dont think it counts as one of the 9. They do things like set up camps make travel plans things of that nature.

Rhoads will be special teams coach.

My guess is that Ash will be the recruiting coordinator. He seems to have the personality for it.

Seems to be a good staff. A great mix of young and old and don't forget about the GREAT S&C coach in McNight and his assistant. Really looking forward to seeing the product on the field! I'm not sure how talented we will be but I believe that fundamentally we will be very good at the end of the season. It will take time but it's going to be time well spent.
